The nite before was filled with incense burning and firecrackers....woah! loud and clear! but the intensity was way too low from what i used to go through....the feeling of CNY is dead now! really dead!
The morning itself, drive to great grandma house...woah as i just step out from the car, i can heard some screaming! very loud! don't get me wrong, is not even lion dance, aiyo a bunch of old people with hearing impairment and yet so reluctant to use hearing aid.....what do you get? shouting to each other just to get words across....hehehe bising lo! like fighting la!
after the morning, about 20 people in the house!
headache la...... so many people! yea....it feels like festive.... and its damn hot la!
but then again..... expected it rains again! woah!! life saver!
after dinner, AK fetch me n CK out for gathering with ray, PM, PH....hehehehe somehow i am so at home with them, hmn i rarely enjoy such company, as usual i dislike crowd! then MCS came with another bunch of hmn long long never seen b4 people! woah! this is the most hapening year la....due to space constraint, we decided to change venue.... we chatted till late nite.... should reword....few of us at one corner of the group, we having our non-dry conversation....strange that we can actually talk talk and talk with endless topic that is not commong everyone, yet everyone is enjoying the conversation...pelik la hor???

CNY eve
The day started late, I was sleeping. Wow enjoying me life to fullest! 9.30am! woke up feeling all refresh, but bit dry on my face.
went to temple to pray and make donation....such a divine hearted...konon la...
CK pick me up and went to pick up 3 bouquet of flowers....yea i heard so hokkien people must have flower when visitng the temple to pay tribute to those loved ones who have somehow departed.
Arrived at the temple, almost fainted so many people, plus one funeral...strange, I don't feel bad luck witnessing one at such day....its life, sooner or later....hmn let it be.
Was around the worship place.... looking for place to put flower, strange usually you can find a lot, but not when you needed one....aiyo walk round and round to to spot 3, 2 was successfully pinjam. Pinjam here means, take people abandon punya... i don't know will it be bad luck or not good la.....but then, for me, recycle is more practical for us who are still living on this earth. The last container is such a hard to 'pinjam'. It rains! went to make some donation and blessing.... hehehe.
watched another cartoon, hehehehe the one with chimpazee.... err beruk? urm...monyet....
arrr tak tau la..... the one with the space travel one.... huhuhuh....
patiently awaits the grand dinner, err steamboat.....
yes it rains again! wow wee!!!
after dinner, while i was on the line, ray and ec was at starbucks, asked me wana go out or not....but then i no car la..... CK went to SP dy.... hmn tired oso, so stayed home n read book. hehehe i really reading book la!

Movie again, yea!
The morning started with journey to the town, it feels strange, that nowadays i need to travel to town! Well things change, i am now staying out of town, not like usual. I stop by hypermarket, yippie! tak ada orang sangat......senang2 i get parking! Bought some pasta for tmrw's lunch
Went to book for my blood test (cucuk lagi la) slot on friday morning. Visited the barber, to cut hair, OMG 50% raise of fee! but then is the same price in KL la..... funny thing is, KL saloon all slashing price for the festive, while off city saloon all on the raise. Well people need money for CNY and its my pleasure to contribute towards moving the raintown economic, yea noble rite?
After cutting hair, the journey continues to the bookstore! yes this year itself I need to buy lots of book, jz to claim back my income tax, well i don't wan't my hard earn money landed in someone else's pocket, you know who la....those idiotic people.
Hmm....after browsing through, I have 2 titles in mind, but very frustrating that not in stock. Guess i need to go back to the city to scout for the two titles...well one of it I actually experienced it! And i think is time for me to re-visit the book and get myself together. Ended up, purchased a member card and 3 books, trust me, I very oriental nowadays, i bought a feng shui book....hahahaha sampat, err I repeat, 1 only la..... not yet super sampat!
After the bookstore, my itchy hand suddenly erupted....it spreads fast till my feet and chinese says itchy ass. Yes i went to the DVD store and bought few titles....2 cartoons movie hahahaha.
The weather is hot. Oh it looks like its going to rain too later in the evening!
well its time to go home, oops i forget that I need to deliver fish balls to my great grandmama house. hehehehe hopefully its not rotten sitting in the hot car!
back to house, so tired, and the bed seems like so tempting! but then, i think shower is a better thing to opt for..... yea, leftover hairs! kekeke sweat!
I woke up after 2 hours of nap! wow, what an achievement! i hardly sleep in the afternoon/evening, but i did it. isn't life luxurious to be able to take afternoon nap? This is not the thing that I can do when i am back to the city! and yes, it rains!
I was watching cartoon and suddenly i received an sms. A miss call notification sms. Hmn my phone operator really sucks la......out of coverage, no network detected all the while. Well the miss call was at 3.11 and the sms i received is 3.12pm..... at least that notice is efficient.
"wei, wana watch movie? with my family?"
hmn that was the words that i heard, so tempting la....i wan! but then malu oso la with people's family. think of it again, this is a festive season la, everyone should get along and together to create positive chi....so, "i wana watch, anytime oso ok wat movie oso ok" sounded desparate la.
9.30pm...yes that was the show.....i am raiding the cinema 2nd time in two days! ann says champion dah la...memang pun ....champi0n
oh oh oh, forget to mention, hehehehe got people was caught sleeping just the movie started! amazing! I didn't realized la..... hehehe people say so.
after mvie.....went for a drink with CK opposite the place we all stay... what a day, luxurious!

2009 CNY exodus
This year i went back on a cow cart....err ox cart, kekekeke
Went back with AK, at first I thought the father oso coming along but then, only both of us.
The morning started early with collecting fish balls and other stuff from my aunt. Paid RM50 for things that worth RM62.50, good bargain still. At first wanted to kidnap one tangerine from the counter but then uncle say must take two.... oh is one of those Chinese words rhyme thingy, wat two...duno wat two la
headed home and put all those fish balls into fridge and eat breakfast, head to office, yes working hor. Actually no mood oso la, but then, i have nothing to do till 2pm, so I get my ass to office. Closed one issue, and headed for lunch. After lunch wanted to grab some dried meat, but the queue was overwhelming! so decided to give up lo.
Called up AK to check wat is goin on, he say washing, polishing n waxing car. Huh? then drive on highway? har? y not go bek home only do leh? But then, i think is a good thing, take care of the car. Asked me whether can go off early, i say can go off after lunch, earlier. So yippie, bout going back early. So y not in 30 min time? or maybe 1 hour, lets make it 1.5hour la...aiyo then it will be the exact time we agree on la...not a single minute early oso, buat penat aje
headed home n grab a pack of ice for my cold box....take a shower n rush off to park my car and board my ox cart....hehehe woops, i forgot to keep the extra ice in freezer, it was on the table. haih, i am too anxious to go home. called up someone to kau tim the ice pack, err water pack, hmn..... spilled water pack? kekekeke
The journey was smooth, but then ahmad says tired wana sleep n was hinting me to drive the bull cart, hmn ok la.....if needed, i will drive lo. Kesian me ahmad oso.
By the time we reach Ladang Bikam, another one more issue arise, the tummy drumming liao, so we decided to pull by at Tapah R&R for chicken rice, but then chicken rice is not in our mind, but then what else can we eat huh? Oh maxis people distributed oranges, each one get 2 oso....hah good sign huh? AK bit off track, he got 2 fork for his lunch, hahahaha i think he really otak hibernating liao.
Then journeys continued with me trying to get mp3 transfered from me phone to AK phone. trust me, it took me around 30 mins to get the 2 phone blue toothing. Haih, same brand oso kenot kau tim. When was about to give up, hah, i managed after all, its matter of something not so clear during the handshake procedure.
We safetly reached tpg, without realizing, so fast leh it felt, maybe for me la...usually when got things to keep me busy, time flies like UFO!??!?
we went to T.C get movie ticket.... Underworld 3... hmn my first time watch movie in tpg! yippie! on the way down, bought some facial cleanser from duno wat clara..... AK say he oso got do treatment, hmn... now i am amazed, rupa-rupa nyer AK so into this? amazing, or shud say i am so left out. headed home and take bath, tidy up things and had dinner...small one la...basic dinner.
headed for movie, was thinking want to detour go see babi hutan, oh then, dun wan la...
aiyo 3 malay boys sit beside me, the one nearest to me smell like beggar. yup, exactly like someone 5 hari tak mandi, with fowl cigarette smoke smell. Haih benci betul, spend most of the time avoiding that jerk, and AK ask me, wat happen? why? haih yo, dun ask y, jz give me some space to lean to ur side la...stinky leh! hahaha by then i realized, AK oso macam pakai baju sama macam petang tadi.... hmn.... mayb the busuk-ness come from him ar?? shudn't be la.
well if someone closed to me compare someone i duno, the one i duno sure get bad remarks la. well is my instinct, can't blame on that. oh that smelly jerk has a fren next to him, with a big mouth like serombong kapal, tak habis cakap and add ajinamoto to the movie, benci betul la....i think it needs time to change kampung folks, forgiven, its CNY.

Mulu I miss you!
The journey begins on 11th July 2008 with a flight early morning to Miri, Sarawak and followed by internal flight by MAS Wings to Mulu using Fokker.
Its been a great experience for me, as this is the first time I ever boarded a Fokker.
The 30 mins fly from Miri, brought me to another world. Its full with trees, mountains, river and sunny day. At first I am so lost at the entrance of the Mulu National park. Seems like I am departed from human civilization, no traffic jam, no cars, no buildings, no sky scrapper. I was stunned and been wondering what in the world I am doing here?
Well the excitement started with me getting my room at the Nationak Park HQ. Roland was friendly and kind enough to make our arrival a comfortable one. My room has 4 single beds, with hot shower and air-cond worth RM145.00 per night stay for the whole room. But I wonder why need aircond when we stay in jungle? Well my fellow colleague can't blend in nature, as they are born in KL and they are urban creature. I start to understand and realize how lucky we are indeed.
The tour and excitment begins with a 3KM board walk to 2 caves. My tour guide is Roland, this is the 2nd time we encounter with Roland. I walked along with the group behind me, with Roland and few other friends. We happily chatted and was given an invitation to stay at Roland's house for a hot meal of phython meat muahahahaha no thanks, yukky lar....
Along the way, I spotted alot of beatiful creatures. Stick Insect, spiders, hammer head worm, odd colored caterpillars, ants and not to mention sumpah-sumpah and lantern bug. Deer Cave and Lang Cave stand mightily awaits its tourist without any complaints welcomes me. in the end of the 3KM walk. The smell of guano reminds me of Gua Tempurung and my own house back in Taiping. Soon it was raining and I was so upset that there is a possibility that the bats are not going to show their aviation skills. Well I sat at the bat watching area, and praying that I could witness the bats exodus to finding their dinner. And when I was about to give up, miracle has its own way to reflects its strength. Millions of bats left the cave into the forest to find their food. Swarming out like giant snake in the air, it is really an eye opener to me. Millions of them, expressing its nature sense by demonstrating several different formations.
On the second day, I was put in a long boat, driven by 2 penans and 30mins up the stream I headed. I arrived at one of the Penan settlement, Kampung Batu Bungah. having to feel the daily life of the Penan, makes me feel glad that I am living a luxurious life back home. The journey then continues on with long boat trip again to Clearwater Cave and Wind Cave. Wind cave King's Chamber is really amazing. I am glad that I had live today to witness what nature has left for me millions year ago till today. The stalagmite and stalactite formation is awesome! The clearwater cave has its own way to win the hearts of it's visitors. Thundering sound of the river water flowing through it and opens to the stream is a specialty of this cave. After lunch picnic, again I was put in the long boat. And this time I headed to Kuala Litut. I was left there with my friends at the river bank, and lead by jungle trail to Camp 5. This 8.8 KM which took me 2 hours to finish really sent a strong message up my mind that car and air-cond is the greatest invention in human civilization. Along the way I meet a Lun Bawang fellla named Eugene or Yu Gin according to some people there. He show me some shortcut and show me the way to Camp 5 and not to mention, show me a river spot for me to have a dip and few creatures to admire on.
I have learn on thing there n then, when things get so critical, when you are left witht the choice to wait or to keep on moving, although you are too tired to move on, the pressure of unknown environement pressure did miracle. I didn't where i get this strength to keep on tailing Eugene. Till one time, Eugene turn back and smiled and say "Cepat jugak kamu kejar saya"
Ish is not matter of cepat or not, I really wanted to be with someone who knows the place well. Hehehe i kiasi la.... Eugene brought me to a river to catch a breath.... he is really a nice orang asli, he told me lots of stories regarding his people and the place it self when we are soaking in the icy cool river! OMG, is like an ice cream heavenly treat on a sunny day!
Then Eugene says that we should get going, because its going to rain soon and camp 5 is not far away...yea rite, for him of course near la, he so used to this journey, he can even make his way out in the nite through the jungle!
On the way, i feel someting wrong on my knee area, but is not my knees giving up, is something different, itchy yet pain. Oh don't you guess, yes pacat! hahaha i don'y know wat to do, i don have salt with me! so i ran up to Eugene, and ask him "Boleh tolong tak?", yes that was the words that I could utter, becasue i don't know how serious or should i freak out, but then i jz show him the pacat from the place i stand. And to my shocked, he came to me with his hand in his parang! wah! need or not use parang chop the pacat? what happen my leg ar? seeing me face turn green, with his comforting look and efficient hands, he took out, no not the parang, but one bottle of duno wat cream, he took some off it and rub on the pacat. The pacat drop off leh, wah! amazing, i was amazed, but then i keep myself calm n cool, because i dun wan to be so sakai....
he give even apply some of the cream on the bite spot, and the bleeding stops...hmn holy cream la! wah i am enlighten, i am such a sampat sakai! Then we walked another 200m, the jungle tracks widens to some taste life!
Camp 5 is very scenic, with river and mountains surrounding it, no communication line, is really a heaven to get away from hectic city life. The night breeze is cold and no mosquitoes! According to the local, the mosquitoes were eaten by bats. Thank you bats! There I meetup with my guide Jerry, a skinny and nice penan. Very friendly and suportive.
The next day, I woke up at 5 AM, get ready for a treacherous day. Climbing the Mount Api, a total off 2.4km which elevates me up 1200Meter above sea level proven to be not an easy job. Each of us need to bring 3 liters if water for the climb, which one of it will be left at 900m mark. Reaching the pinnacle is really a hell as the rocky steps seems like endless and the last 400m of rock climbing is really a great challenge. I would say, stamina alone is not sufficient. Stamina plus mental power is essential. I started the hike at 6.45am and reach the pinnacle view point at 11am. Spend an hour up there and start descending at 12noon. If you think that getting up is terrible, I would say getting down is horrible!
At 800 meter, my whole body was giving up and i feel dizzy, i don't know why, but feel like vomiting la...hehehe not to mention my knee really hurts! yea really hurts! Luckily Ezra was there at 800m point, he gave me some pain killers and i oso got some choco left, so take a rest while waiting for the rest, GC was so excited to reach camp 5, and we thought that LL and VC was in front, but then we are wrong, their water bottles still at 800m, yea, we are the first two from our team to reach 800m mark I slept at 800meter and suddenly it started to rain, oops, me n GC rush down like mad, you wouldn't want to know how hard it is to get down when the rocky terrain is wet and slipery!
I manage to reach the Camp 5 at the foot of Mount Api at 4.30pm, spending 30minutes for a short nap at 900m. It was a nightmare but I am very happy that I made it without much preparation.
The next day I went back to the Mulu National Park via the same route. 8.8km of jungle trek, 1 hour long boat. Its very hard this time round with sore muscles on the thigh and pain on the knee due to climbing the pinnacle. At night, I participated in the night walk, looking for nocturnal animals and insects. I was with Andrew a dark skin Penan, hehehe actually i confused whether the person in front of me is andrew or a tree, i am confused! First time ever in my life i saw big stick insect, gecko and moon rat. The guide and me was frightened by the moon rat who was looking food along the walk way. But i think the moon rat terkejut to see me rather than the way around. Its obvious, the moon rat ran for its life back to the bushes during the encounter. Poor moon rat.
after the canopy walk, few of us decided to go for a drink. At the nearby stall, we sit down and had a drink. There was a bunch of tourist enjoying the night and entertained by some of the guides. Yeah those guides also act as entertainment artist, singing and dancing local tunes and dance steps. I saw Andrew, Eugene and Ezra there....hehehe so coincidence.
The next day, I went to the canopy walk. Relaxing and soothing. Fresh air and sounds of the jungle is really a blessing. And without realizing, its time to leave Mulu National Park. I am quite sad to leave that area. Its been so relaxing (apart from the pinnacle climb) and adventurous (pinnacle climb).
Arriving back to KL I feel like I just had a wonderful dream, and waking up, I am back to reality. KL.... hectic and polluted atmosphere.
Thats all for my 5D 4N experience at Mulu National Park. Apart from the pinnacle, I would recommend Mulu National Park as a get away for urban people. But for those who are active and daring enough, the pinnacles awaits you.
I will include some contact of people that you could contact and make arrangement if anyone would like to go to Mulu. Till the next post, I need a break now, hitting the bed. Good week ahead everyone!
Its been a great experience for me, as this is the first time I ever boarded a Fokker.

5D 4N at Mulu National Park - Day 1
It was just 4.30Am, i was awake and busy loading my stuff into car....making my way to my long awaited holiday gateway.
I went to park my car in PJ and headed to KL Sentral. I was bit late by 5 mins to catch the 5am bus, well boarded the 5.30am bus instead wit SCM, GC, PT, CLL, Vc. And oso an un-intended passenger TP. Wow! early morning saw ghost!
arrived at LCCT, with my jaw ajar like the mulut tempayan!aiyo LCCT was so crowded and suffocating! w/o any wasting time, went on to check in and scan luggage.
Waited for the plane for about 40mins and off i flew to Sarawak! Yea...arrived at Mulu and was greeted by Drinking Water at RM3.00, woaaahhh its like petroleum punya harga!!!!
check in for MAS internal flight. and waiting for the plane to arrive, has a not-so-nice but still edible wat tan hor....well beggar can't be chooser ma....anyway, i can eat one...i am not chooser hahaha
the Fokker arrived! wow wee!! first time in my life boarding a fokker! got propeller...and its noisy too.... and oso not stable...
boarded the plane, packet drinks were served...and 30 mins so so landing time...uih... so fast...not even finish reading the Going PLaces landing liao! arrived at Mulu, and was dumped on a 4 wheel drive and taken a short 3mins drive to the Mulu National Park entrance. Was greeted by Larry, i can defintely sense that Larry is a very warm and kind person as he is very nice to us. Putting aside the fact we are paying, but its seems like Sarawak people always like to welcome people to their place, and eager enough to show us around, and proud of what they are, and what they have!
soon i arrived at the maint entrance. wow it was then i feel myself engulfed by the nature...trees, rivers, caves, mountains every where, minus the regular buildings and traffic jam...
hehehe
The 30 mins fly from Miri, brought me to another world. Its full with trees, mountains, river and sunny day. At first I am so lost at the entrance of the Mulu National park. Seems like I am departed from human civilization, no traffic jam, no cars, no buildings, no sky scrapper. I was stunned and been wondering what in the world I am doing here?
Well the excitement started with me getting my room at the Nationak Park HQ.
My group was lead by a Penan, named Roland... very young looking mid 30s guy... with lots of sense of humor too. I was at the front with Roland most of the time and we were chatting about the forest, about his life in Mulu.... interesting enough he teach me how to scald a monitor lizard and skinning it and putting some spice and herbs on it to prepare fast food! yuksss.....and oso he share with me his secret ular sawa recipe... i almost fainted and he keep on laughing as he can see the reaction on my face.
Along the way, I spotted alot of beatiful creatures. Stick Insect, spiders, hammer head worm, odd colored caterpillars, ants and not to mention sumpah-sumpah with the help from Roland.
Braving myself through the rain, and guided by my empty stomach, I soon gained momentum to endure the 3Km walk back to our room...it was fun and not to mention, thank god got hot shower! wow wee!!! luxurious treatment in the middle of jungle.

A day at KLCC
after such long time i never been to KLCC, i was invited to attend a gathering for my year 1996 batch at KLCC
AK fetch me early morning and we went to KLCC to meet up the rest. CK was there early, so we headed to San Fransisco to meet up and have breakfast. Before we headed there, we went to buy 3 tickets to watch Hancock.
BK came along and CS after that, while Ray was the last. after the late breakfast and get along, we bid farewell to each other, and 3 of us me, AK and CK headed to cinema to catch Hancock. I must admit i don't have any idea what is to be expected. My jaw dropped when Hancock flew! wah ini apa punya cerita? hahahaha
after the movie we headed to Isetan. I wanted to get some shirt and shorts for my Mulu trip. we headed to catch our late lunch, and after that, i headed back alone, as CK is waiting for BB and AK went off to his special place.....
Its a tiring and hot sunny day! not to mention, the queue at the LRT is nonsense!
